Common problems children have are disputes over toys, play equipment, Mum's knee, who has the blue cup and so on. It can be tricky knowing how to help children solve these problems in a way that is responsive, respectful and will help small people to learn the skills they need to solve problems throughout their lives. 

This Hot Topic focuses on:

• - Working through a strategy we can use to support children to problem solve
• - Look at what to do if the problems the child is having turns into hitting or hurting
• - Apply these strategies to your current challenges
